Two Flagship Lines, One Philosophy
Every La Cornue range — whether a CornuFe 90 or a Chateau 165 — is hand-assembled in the factory in Mornant, France by a small team of craftsmen. Both lines share the iconic oven, the hand-applied enamel finishes, and the solid brass hardware. The differences lie beneath the surface: in fuel type, oven configuration, and the ceiling of customization the Chateau unlocks.
La Cornue CornuFe: Dual-Fuel Precision
The CornuFe (also styled CornuFé) is a dual-fuel range — gas burners for the cooktop, electric convection heating for the oven. This configuration is popular because electric convection delivers exceptionally precise, programmable oven temperatures with no pilot gas required inside the oven cavity itself.
- Available in 90cm, 110cm, and 150cm widths
- Cast-iron frame, multiple enamel color options
- One full-sized oven (single or with companion smaller oven depending on width)
- Starting price: approximately $10,000–$20,000
- Requires both 240V electrical and gas supply connections
La Cornue Chateau: All-Gas Prestige
The Chateau is La Cornue's purist statement — an all-gas range with two independent ovens stacked vertically, each with their own gas burner and controls. The Chateau's cooking capability is unmatched for professional-style multi-dish preparations.
- Available in 120cm, 150cm, and 165cm (and custom widths beyond)
- Full-height cast-iron construction with chromium and brass trim
- Two independent vaulted gas ovens, optional rotisserie
- Starting price: approximately $20,000–$50,000+
- Requires only gas supply (no 240V, only 120V for ignition electronics)
Service Differences
From a maintenance and repair perspective, the CornuFe has both gas and electrical components to service, while the Chateau is primarily gas. Our technicians are trained on all current configurations of both lines.
